Dog Friendly Parks

Peak Mountain

This trail starts near the intersection of Route 20 and Newgate. The trail is about 3.6 miles long. Dogs are to be on-leash.

Cowles Park

“Cowles is a 111 acre town park on Route 187 in East Granby. There is a small parking lot on the west side of Route 187 just north of the bridge over the Farmington River or just south of where Seymour Road meets Route 187. Look for the white sign at the entrance.” (alltrails.com)

Granby D.O.G.G.S. Park

This park is located within Salmon Brook Park at 215 Salmon Street, Granby, CT. Dogs of all sizes are most welcome, but the park ask that there be a limit of three dogs per owner. To keep the park in great shape, owners are advised to clean up their dogs poop asap. Current license and tags are to be visible on all collars and/or harnesses. If any aggressive behavior is shown, the owner is to remove the dog from the park immediately.
